Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, the Manager, Systems and Occupational Training is responsible for the quality standards associated to the delivery of systems and occupational (non-scientific) training programs across STEMCELL. The incumbent will collaborate with other training leaders across STEMCELL to ensure standardization of best practice training and governance practices and ensuring all Systems and Occupational training programs adhere to our quality standards and also support STEMCELL’s culture, engage our employees, and drive performance. This role will also play a key role in ensuring our systems and occupational learning and development programs integrate and respond to our systems and occupational training needs. While there may be some content delivery required, the role primarily acts as a leader within and across STEMCELL to ensure alignment across all departments who offer occupational and systems training.
Lead the IT & occupational training standards, and ensure well developed training programs are resourced effectively.
Supports our onboarding processes and overall occupational education and development of STEMCELL’s growing workforce, in alignment with STEMCELL’s values, culture and leadership behaviours
Understands the global context and ensures STEMCELL’s Systems and IT learning and development initiatives and approach meet business needs
Delivers best practice standards and overall coaching and SME guidance to operational leaders, training managers and employees
Provides thought leadership and best practices on IT systems and occupational learning and development, talent management and performance management
Assists in the development of IT systems and occupational training and communication programs aimed at aligning manager and employee activities as it relates to IT and occupational Training.
Acts as the liaison and works collaboratively with the Learning Operating Committee, Executive team, leaders, employees and educators in the business to assess systems and occupational educational needs and priorities.
Develops learning strategies and educational plans to meet those needs. Supports the implementation of and evaluates IT/Systems and occupational learning programs.
Ensures specialized programs/projects deliverables are completed on time and on budget. Identifies gaps and tracks metrics as they relate to the project deliverables and provides consultation, guidance and support to external vendors and stakeholders. Develops, revises, and maintains existing educational programs as well as new program/course/ development.
Provides education, consultation, guidance and support to the extended team of STEMCELL educators on curriculum design, materials development and effective learning strategies including teaching, facilitation and simulation. Establishes evaluation plans using logic and Kirkpatrick models to ensure learning programs are meeting learning outcomes.
Ensures the development and updating of resources to develop and maintain employee capabilities with changing procedures, processes.
Participates in the Learning Operations Committee comprised of STEMCELL’s educators from within operations.

Master’s Degree in Education (Adult Learning Education Leadership) is preferred or equivalent experience with related training and education. A scientific degree is considered an asset.
Minimum of 7 years of IT systems training and content development experience, including instructional design, material development, as well as evaluation, delivery, and facilitation methods for individuals and groups.
Knowledge of change management methodology and proven ability to translate it into practical business solutions. Proven project management experience. with an ability to effectively mult-task and meet deadlines.
Effective internal consulting and stakeholder engagement skills.
Team orientated with a strong work ethic; willing to pitch in and co-facilitate and/or co-develop with team members.
Strong written, verbal presentation and influencing skills.
Expertise in cloud based learning management systems (LMS) and technology such as Adobe Captivate, Workday, Docebo, Talent LMS, Moodle and Dokeos .
Experience designing content for and working with IT systems training tools like uPerform.
Expertise in graphic/document design and digital/e-learn solutions. Video production experience is an asset.
High level proficiency using Google Suite and MS Office products, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel and other education-related tools and resources.
