STUDENT RECRUITMENT OFFICER
Student Recruitment, Office of the Registrar
(Contractual Position to April 1, 2022)

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out the institution’s recruitment activities aimed at attracting students to Memorial University’s undergraduate programs. Duties include preparing and presenting information sessions about the University to local and national audiences, including high schools, career days, education fairs, and post-secondary institutions; working closely with university personnel responsible for admissions, academic advising, scholarships and awards, student support services, marketing and communications, and alumni affairs on a variety of recruitment issues; compiling information and assisting in the implementation of the undergraduate recruitment strategy; identifying strategies for recruitment initiatives and assisting in their implementation; answering enquiries on recruitment; utilizing various online communication tools and social media platforms for recruitment initiatives; assisting with campus tours for prospective students; and performing other related duties as required. This position may require considerable travel, particularly within Canada and public appearances as well as non-traditional work hours at various points of the recruitment cycle.
Experience (1-3 years) in a student recruitment environment with an emphasis on marketing or communications; graduation from a four year university; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge of the post-secondary education experience and Memorial University programs would be assets. Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license as issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador is required. This position also requires some heavy lifting.
SALARY $49,602 - $74,399 per annum (Management and Professional)
