Position Profile

Oncidium is looking for talented and energetic Kinesiologists to join our team of multidisciplinary staff to provide cutting edge occupational health services to our clients in industry. The position is at the forefront of Kinesiology allowing the successful applicant to use a wide variety of their Kinesiology skills (ergonomic, clinical and functional skills) in this exciting, fast paced industry. Scheduling allows for two 3-day weekends per month, as well as group benefits and a yearly education allowance are included.

Job Status: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Woodstock, Ontario

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and work-site assessment of workers who have sustained musculoskeletal injuries;
  • Design specific measures for each worker to assist with their recovery;
  • Routine follow-up to ensure progression;
  • Monitor progress and provide next steps (can contain short term accommodation and referrals to treatment);
  • Develop charting notes based on college standards for each client.

Hours of Work

Since the role takes place in an automotive plant, shift work is a requirement as follows:

  • Day shift: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm;
  • Afternoon shift: 3:00 pm to 1:00 am. (Note: On afternoon shift weeks, you work for 4 days and have 3-day weekends)

Compensation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from a recognized institution;
  • Registered to the College of Kinesiology, or in the process/or capable of becoming registered;
  • Experience in exercise prescription and demonstration, is an asset;
  • Understanding of ergonomic principles is an asset;
  • Functional assessment and programming experience are an asset.
