Director of Product Marketing

We are seeking an experienced and driven senior leader to run Product Marketing for BlueCat.
Ideal candidates will be creative, curious and driven, with a background in enterprise infrastructure, networking or software solutions. Reporting to the VP, Marketing, you will develop and drive product positioning, messaging, competitive analysis and analyst relations. You will also drive content creation, storytelling, and our thought leadership strategy. In this role, you will support all go to market activities including product launches, customer engagement, sales enablement and demand generation.

What You’ll Own:
Develop impactful product positioning and messaging that differentiates BlueCat solutions in the enterprise IT market
Oversee market research, competitive analysis and market trends
Communicate the value proposition of products to the go to market teams including sales, partner and customer success teams
Contribute to go to market strategies and tactics
Support adjacent functions including product management, content marketing, demand generation and sales enablement
Identify customer needs and refine buyer personas
Participate in analyst relations and public relations initiatives
Participate in webinars and other demand generation activities
Create compelling content for sales collateral, digital, campaigns, trade shows, and other activities, including blogs, eBooks, white papers, technical documents, case studies/customer stories, product data sheets, event-related material, and other collateral.
Working with demand gen, and website customer journeys.
Manage full time and contract talent on the team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
Exceptional attention to detail; proactive mind-set
Ability to build relationships and work effectively with geographically dispersed teams
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Ability to engage with technical and sales communities with credibility
Experience successfully launching new products
Outstanding verbal, written, presentation skills
Experience creating a portfolio of highly readable, engaging marketing collateral on deadline.
The ability to bring dense, esoteric technical concepts down to earth - we don’t expect that you’ll know anything about DDI, but it’s more about distilling ideas and making them accessible
University degree, College diploma, Post-Graduate certificate in in Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Marketing or related field, or equivalent - MBA a strong asset
7+ years of hands-on experience in technology product marketing
Additional experience in SaaS and network infrastructure considered an asset
