The Ariel EAS team at Morneau Shepell is a dynamic team of over 200 talented and motivated professionals who work collaboratively to develop, implement and support a best-in-class pension and benefits management software product serving predominately public sector clients. In an agile development team, the successful candidate will participate in the development and maintenance of automated business processes in C# exposed in a web portal application.
Develops solution for the software product in line with solution architecture and technical roadmap
Validates with the Solution Architect the technical implementation of new concepts
Performs code review and enforces good coding practices
Takes responsibility for the quality of the code delivered
Helps remove technical impediments raised by the team
Works on functional and technical analysis as needed
Provides technical support / leadership for escalated incidents / outages to ensure that they are resolved efficiently
Works with the Solution Designers to ensure that the design will fulfill the requirements
Makes the best technical design decisions based on their knowledge or in conjunction with the Technical Lead and/or Solution Architect
Succeeding as a Intermediate Developer will require the skills and core qualifications :
University education in computer science or computer / software engineering or at least 5 years experience in professional software development
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development in C #;
Concrete experience in database development with SQL Server;
Concrete experience in an agile development environment
Knowledge in the development of WCF web services;
Knowledge in REST API development
Knowledge of Dynamics CRM is an asset;
Knowledge of enterprise software architecture techniques and industry best practices;
Ability to develop an overview of a system;
Good team spirit and enthusiasm;
Creativity, thoroughness and initiative;
Ability to be a good team player with an open mind;
Good listening skills;
Knowledge of workflow oriented systems;
