Reporting to site supervision, the role of Apprentice Scaffolder will be expected to start September 16, 2019 working 10 hours per day, 4 days per week with overtime as required. This is a short term position assisting with scaffolding duties related to project work at our client's facility located at Joffre, AB. LOA is available for candidates that qualify.

Must be willing to follow the scaffolder progression system to achieve journeyman status.
Must be comfortable at heights, must be or willing to become qualified in personal fall-arrest use.
Must possess a valid Alberta driver’s license.
Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings and conduct pre-task analysis to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them.
Able to gain ability to erect a basic safe scaffold with little or no supervision.
Correct unsafe acts and bring unsafe conditions to the attention of immediate supervisor.
Receive permits for required tasks (pending qualification as a permit receiver) and assist with completing all scaffolding checklists prior to builds.
Review site safe work procedures associated with the job prior to task execution.
High commitment to safety - both their own and others’.
Must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
Possess good interpersonal skills and relations with customer and fellow workers.
Good housekeeping skills.
Available to work on short notice for call-outs and overtime, nightshift, and other emergency work as per customer request.
Must be willing to work in a multi-trade environment.
Must be willing to assist with other duties if needed (e.g. snow removal, safety watch, operate equipment, etc.).
Must be physically fit (i.e. position requires lifting / standing and climbing).
Joffre site plant experience an asset.
