This position's prime objective is to ensure raw material and fuel (coal, coke, gas etc.) budget and monthly forecast for the plant are met in terms of volumes, deadlines, costs and product compliance. Communicate with all suppliers to ensure inventory levels are met and resolve day to day receiving and logistics issues including maintaining plant equipment health in Shops 35 and 36.

Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Function as a safety leader in the plant by demonstrating a personal commitment to working safely and ensuring that the Plant continues to eliminate work related risks. Function as a strong advocate and leader in promoting a safe working environment for all employees at the plant.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for raw materials and fuel storage.
Function as an integral member of the management team with a focus on plant performance and continuous improvement. It is essential that the person work very closely with the process areas, maintenance functions, and technical managers to ensure continuity within plant operations.
Perform daily inspection of Shop 35 and 36 equipment and report any deficiencies to Maintenance.
Attend daily coordination and weekly scheduling Maintenance meeting to ensure maximum uptime of Shop 35 and 36 equipment.
Schedule maintenance downtime (weekly, monthly or WTA) for Shop 35 and 36 equipment.
Determines the monthly and annual raw materials and fuel budget and forecast requirements. Works with suppliers, corporate personnel and other operations personnel in scheduling of raw materials and fuel deliveries, consumption rates, etc
Perform weekly and monthly raw material inventories physical with production analyst.
Implement action plans for raw material handling and receiving optimization to reduce costs and manpower requirements.
Conduct yearly inspections of supplier facilities long to ensure raw material and fuel supplies are in compliance with LH health and safety standards.
Resolve daily issues relating to raw material and fuel shipments and works with other departments to resolve issues which can impact raw mix production or product quality.
Work with Purchasing to setup purchase agreements for raw materials and fuel.
Generate SAP purchase requisitions for raw materials and fuels and associated services for maintenance and repair of Shop 35 and 36 equipment.
Together with Production Analyst responsible for raw materials and fuel management including:
create and maintain SAP raw materials and fuel master data including daily production reporting, material recipes and long term planning
ensure raw materials consumption including accuracy of weigh feeder calibration versus raw mix production (kiln feed) ratios are correct for all HARP functional areas
balance physical inventories of raw materials on a weekly and monthly basis
complete all process order TECO on a timely basis
Support pyro team main activities during kiln outages
Other duties as assigned

Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering preferred
Strong logistics experience within heavy industry required.
Must have strong leadership skills

Must have strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Able to thoroughly analyze situations or processes from different perspectives
Able to independently determine discrepancies in trends or numerical data, investigate and resolve
Knowledge of cement manufacturing process, materials receipt, and procurement preferred
Knowledge of budgeting process

Other Related Experiences Required:
SAP and computer software (excel, databases) experience

Pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing and a criminal record check may be required.
