Reporting to the Director, Marketing Communications, you will develop and execute regional marketing programs and events that help acquire new customers, retain and grow existing customers and deliver growth across key market segments. With exposure to multiple teams, this is a highly matrixed role. Candidates need to be strategic thinkers, hands on, highly organized, detail oriented and have experience in field marketing, working with sales teams on a continual basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role includes, but is not limited to, the creation and execution of marketing plans, events, demand generation, and email marketing for end users and customers.
Develop a deep understanding of the business and coordinate programs with sales teams and leaders, including regular participation in sales team calls, in-person meetings and planning sessions
Provide input and assist in execution of programs and events to reach customer targets by vertical, drive sales plays, create sales tools and regularly communicate marketing programs and results
Lead cross-functional coordination, planning and execution for regional events, ensuring events are delivered on time, on budget and on quality.
Plan multiple events from beginning to completion simultaneously. Working with corporate trade show and events team on all logistics.
Clearly communicate and articulate desired outcomes and work collaboratively with a core team (marketing, sales, tradeshow and event logistics, technical, etc) to determine tactics and plan to execute event strategy. Ensuring event integrates with global campaigns and messaging.
Co-ordinate pre-show staff readiness, presentations, demos and executive briefing.
Organize event lead capture and qualification process prior to turning over to regional sales teams.
Ensure timely reporting. Follow-up on outcomes of events and programs, track and report back to regional sales and marketing teams.
Work cross functionally to collect commercial intelligence for the creation of field communications and self-service tools for sales to leverage
Leverage global marketing resources to fill sales requirements and find ways to invent and simplify to address sales needs without large budgets
Develop and/or influence regional demand generation planning processes with deep expertise of customer targets, sales strategy and pipeline to ensure greatest possible success of programs
Earn trust and maintain strong relationships with Field Sales and Global Marketing teams to support their goals, increase engagement with marketing and drive program support.
Support and influence new product launch efforts including collateral, communication strategy, training tools and related activities.
Performing other duties as required.
Education, Experience & Competencies
5+ years of relevant work experience in field/regional marketing and event marketing in a business-to-business (B2B) marketing
Degree or diploma in business, marketing, event management or a related field
Feel at home in an agile environment and be able to constantly straddle between strategy and execution as needed
Excel at cross-group collaboration, problem solving and has a bias for action
Strong program & project management skills, creative thinking and analytical ability
Proven success developing business, marketing planning/analysis, opportunity identification and optimizing marketing investment
Motivated self-starter who thrives on working in the complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business
Previous experience using Salesforce.com and marketing automation platform(s), experience with HubSpot would be an asset
Experience with Adobe Photoshop
Strong communication, interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
Strong work ethic, leadership abilities and relationship-building skills
This position does not have direct reports
Able to travel as required
