We are looking for a highly motivated, confident, hard-working and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Director of Sales. This role will report directly to Canada Pooch’s President, and is perfect for candidates looking for a high-impact, senior leadership role that will directly contribute to the direction of a rapidly growing luxury brand.
Note: Candidates do not need to be located in Toronto and may work remotely from any location in Canada or the US.
What you will do:
Lead the development and tactical execution of a strategy to drive rapid sales growth across North America
Play a lead role in managing, supporting and growing distributor and key account relationships
Seek out and establish new sales opportunities across North America to establish and build long-term customer partnerships
Drive strategy and execution to increase in-store velocity (through sales team and direct relationships)
Develop in-store merchandising strategy in partnership with marketing team and lead execution
Lead the development, management and performance of the sales team
Provide retail insights to product development process, and assist in final product assortment decisions
Manage trade spend and sales components of marketing budget
Manage expense report process for sales team
Liaise with the sales representatives of our distributors to establish and service accounts
Participate in trade shows, conventions and other sales events
Other activities as assigned by Canada Pooch from time to time
Significant travel will be required to both manage and drive market share
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience required
CPG experience preferred, pet experience an asset
Sales leadership experience required, preferably covering a large geographic region
Ability to travel up to 60%
Strong business acumen with the ability to learn a new, complex business
Superior communication with strong active listening skills
Ability to lead, achieve results, assemble high performing teams and lead change management
