Your Opportunity:
The successful candidate in this Medical Radiation Technologist I position is responsible for providing and performing the highest quality services possible to the clients of Diagnostic Imaging Department. This is to be done in an effective, efficient and safe manner. Experience and good working knowledge in all areas of radiography. As a member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, this position is responsible for working all shifts in the General Radiography department and on-call with a 30-minute response time, as assigned.

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Proficient computer skills. Ability to adapt to changes. Demonstrated desire and actions to further own knowledge relating to profession.

Preferred Qualifications:
Recent mobile radiography experience. Recent experience performing unenhanced head and c-spine CT. Recent experience with Muse, Agfa PACS, and Meditech.
