Pourquoi ce role est-il important?

The Senior Manager, Change and Release Management owns and manages Change Management processes. As such, the manager is responsible for the workflow within the ServiceNow module, ensuring the ITIL standards are maintained and industry best practices are followed. The manager is accountable for delivering continuous service improvements, optimizations and efficiencies; replacing manual efforts with automation and leveraging the latest technologies efficiently. This role also requires that change and release management annual audit requirements are met and risks mitigated, documentation is appropriately updated an management is is aware of any potential risks or audit implications. The Senior Manager is also accountable for ensuring annual training of all change participants, and new staff members.

Being accountable for the Change Management governance, the Senior Manager will be required to participate in the Problem Management Root Cause Analysis meetings, providing input and feedback on MIs caused by change. In addition to the team’s standard reports, the Senior Manager will be required to report on the quality of the change records by tracking the Rejected Change Records by Reason and Group. This information will then be used to meet with the management of repeat quality offenders.

As part of Release Management services, the Sr. Manager is to work with key LT and Business stakeholders to build/produce the annual Loblaw Technology Enterprise Release Calendar, and engage with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered within the guidelines of the Release Calendar. Coordinate and chair the weekly Change and Release meetings, including the Change Advisory Board and the various Release Go/NoGo meetings.

As the strategic leader, the Senior Manager is accountable for ensuring the team is effectively utilized, processes are continuously assessed and new technology utilized to effectively deliver the appropriate governance and control to Loblaw Technology Change and Release Management.

ITIL knowledge would be an asset. Strategic thinking skills are required. People management, communication and collaboration skills are essential. This individual must be a self-starter and motivated to ensure continuous improvement.
