The Maintenance Technician, reporting to the Facilities Manager, is responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance tasks in a production environment
(mechanical focus). They are to work as part of a multi‐functional technical services team to troubleshoot process issues and equipment breakdowns, identify the short‐term and
root cause resolutions and execute necessary repairs and improvement initiatives.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure completion and documentation of all assigned tasks and duties.
Execute repairs and inspections on various mechanical systems (HVAC, water treatment systems, pumps/motors/gearboxes, high‐speed manufacturing equipment, greenhouse components, etc.).
Utilize various equipment (hand/power tools, machining tools, task‐specific equipment) to complete required work.
Support project execution, new equipment installation & commissioning and provide technical support as required.
Complete daily routines and checks on facilities and utilities equipment (boilers,
compressors, chillers, utilities readings, etc.).
Understand and utilize controls systems (Building Automation System, Priva Greenhouse
Controls System) to support operating departments.
Usage of CMMS software to enter work requests and work orders, close completed orders and other tasks as required to efficiently plan and execute maintenance requirements.
General handyman/labour requirements as necessary (lifting, carpentry, outdoor tasks,
forklift/aerial lift support, etc.)
All other tasks and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks including working overhead.
Must have a minimum of 2 years in a related role and working in a fast‐paced environment.
Proven ability to effectively use technology in the workplace (MS Office, CMMS software,
Controls Systems, etc.)
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues, attention to detail and multi‐task
Strong customer service and communication skills
Must be able to work on different shifts depending on current department needs.
