Job Description

Are you someone who is passionate about data? Group Functions Data Office is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the Global Data Enablement and Governance team.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual, who will be responsible for data governance operations and new initiatives for development of data enablement and governance capabilities in the group functions data office. You will design, develop and monitor holistic data governance structures, define and build data management processes and solutions.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will: -

Perform day to day data governance operational tasks such as access management and develop, maintain and support data management products such as the enterprise data catalogue, data share agreements, critical data elements.
Own accountability, and lead the delivery of data governance projects
Perform requirement gathering, development and roll-out of data quality management, metadata management and access management solutions.
Build data management software products working within the Big Data Space.
Develop data management frameworks, processes and controls, working with information risk management, and compliance to ensure alignment with evolving business, security and regulatory requirements
Research and evaluate new and emerging tools and technology in the data management space, run proof of concepts and provide recommendations
Deliver presentations to various divisional leadership and governance groups
Educate and train teams on data management and governance technology and tools

Requirements for this role include:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, or field related to information, data management and analytics with a minimum of 10 years overall relevant experience.
5 - 10 years’ experience in a large technology team with 3+ years in a data mgt. role
Experience with: Informatica Big Data Management, Apache Atlas, Ranger, Big Data/ Hadoop, SQL, Hive, HDFS, Git, Jenkins, Python, Spark, Shell scripting, Java/Scala
Background in: Data Management, Data Analysis/ Stewardship, Data warehouse, relational databases, data ingestion/ ETL.
Experience with Agile, DevOps, continuous integration.
Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task.
Ability to work with minimal or no supervision while performing duties.
Strong delivery focus, with the ability to work independently and within teams.
Ability and initiative to organize various functions necessary to accomplish department activities or goals and be a strong teammate.
