Quality Control Technician

Report to Quality Manager

RBI, A Division of Mestek Canada, is an innovative International Company that produces Boilers and Water Heaters. We are seeking a full time stable, hardworking individual who is seeking long term employment to perform in-process and final quality inspections. You will also have the unique opportunity to work in all areas of our Quality Control Department. We offer an excellent benefit package and the successful candidate will be trained on all duties.

Job Description for Quality Technician

  • Conduct Final QC Inspection on boilers/ water heaters to ensure they meet all standards of presentation and quality.
  • Act as impartial third party between Production, Customer service and Engineering to co-ordinate and resolve quality related problems.
  • Dimensional verification
  • Conduct Quality meetings with Production lines to address quality issues
  • Identification of non-conformance and follow up corrective action
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities; Gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit
  • Initiating non-conformance and corrective action as required
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Program
  • Support and promote our EHS program with a positive attitude and concern for the health and safety of each employee and protection of the environment.
  • Other QA/ QC related activities as directed by the Quality Control Manager

  • Must possess good organizational and decision making skills to ensure completion of documentation.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs occasionally, stoop , Kneel , crouch and crawl.
  • Must be Proactive and able to take immediate action for quality concerns
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective customer focused relationships with all stakeholders
  • Computer literate
  • Consistently at work and on time. Arrives to appointments and meetings on time.
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations
  • Writes clearly and informatively
