Permanent Part Time (37.5 hours bi-weekly)
Location: Happy Valley-Goose Bay
The primary purpose of this position is to provide advanced secretarial, clerical, and administrative support to the Regional Director of Human Resources. This position is seeking an individual who demonstrates initiative, innovation, and independence. This position requires a high level of autonomy, creativity, and commitment to continuous quality improvement.
" Graduation from High School supplemented by a 2-year diploma in Office Administration
" Minimum two years' office administration experience
" The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conduct.
Duties (Include but not limited to):
" Manages communications with stakeholders; maintains highly confidential files, completes travel arrangements and accommodations.
" Receives, composes, and types memos, letters, and correspondence.
" Screens all correspondence, draws attention to any requiring immediate action, and copies where necessary to relevant department heads.
" Develops and maintains a follow up system for correspondence to ensure that proper action has been taken without unnecessary delay.
" Prepares bi-weekly payroll for the regional HR department.
" Coordinates external recruitment advertising.
" Develop and maintain a policy catalogue for HR.
" Organizes volunteer recognition events, service awards and retirement ceremonies.
" The incumbent researches and obtains specialized information from a variety of sources, organizes materials, and draws attention to the most important parts; on own initiative, may observe need for administrative or procedural changes.
" Obtains statistical reports and data and screens for accuracy and completeness; ensure that completed files are available when required.
" The incumbent organizes, and completed minutes of meetings, correspondence, and reports.
" Maintains accurate well-organized and easily accessible files for the Regional Director of Human Resources.
" Other related duties as required.
" This is a non-union/non-management position at CG-27, $23.53 to $26.04 per hour, plus the applicable Labrador Allowance.
Hours of Work:
" 37.5 hours biweekly.
