What’s the job?

The Data Analyst works as a member of our Enterprise Analytics team and leverages a variety of data sources to uncover actionable insights into Coast Capital's business. The Junior Data Analyst is skilled in areas of analysis, including data collection, data cleaning, summarization, visualization, and presentation. To hit the ground running, you’ll be leaning heavily on your SQL writing expertise to provide support to internal teams.

What you’ll get to do:
Leverage data insights to develop effective marketing campaigns
Data storytelling, using data appropriately to tell a compelling story that inspires action
Understanding key business levers and recommending appropriate actions based on data analysis
Must translate technical findings into business language and propose business action
Familiar with/experience in data analysis, including data cleaning, data manipulation, summarization and visualization
Explore and capture needs by effectively understanding business problems and understanding how they can be supported by data analysis
Problem-solving by developing the best possible answer to business questions. Often having to think 'outside of the box' to develop effective solutions. Cannot rely on existing solutions to solve all problems
Deliver exceptional quality and accuracy. Inaccurate analysis can lead to incorrect decisions and negative business outcomes

Who are we looking for?

Comfortable presenting Data findings in a digestible non-technical way
Bachelor's Degree in math, science, statistics, economics or similar experience
An independent resource who is open to working remotely

Familiar / Experienced with

Data manipulation with SQL and Excel
Data summarization skills with strong statistical knowledge
Expert data visualization skills, familiarity with modern tools such as Tableau
Expert presentation and communication ability. Results expected to be shared with C-suite.
Experience working with T24 data
Experience working with Environics data and the Envision platform
