The Position

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Floor Manager to join our LD Shoppe location! To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be an effective leader who doesn’t shy away from tasks that come your way. Our company is multi-faceted, pulling our team in different directions every day, so you’ll need to be a ‘yes’ person who can roll with the punches and embrace challenges.

As our company continues to grow, the responsibilities of this role will evolve but in a nutshell, the LD Shoppe Floor Manager will execute the following:


  • Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the LD Shoppe retail store.
  • Manage staff and assign duties.
  • Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure merchandise for resale.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies.
  • Plan budgets, authorize expenditures and monitor revenues.
  • Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues.
  • Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development and retention of staff.
  • Process sales transactions and handle cash.
  • Protect customer privacy.
  • Lift and move boxes and furniture where required.
  • Wear many hats and take initiative to get things done wherever needed!

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • A university degree or college diploma in business administration or another field related to home decor is an asset.
  • Several years of related retail sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility is required.

Salary: $40,000.00 /year
