We are hiring for Kitchen/Restaurant Clerk at our Parksville location. This position will contribute to the success of the store by Going the Extra Mile while demonstrating our company mission of Care, Commitment and Passion.

16-24 hours a week, open availability preferred.

You will be responsible for:

· Going the Extra Mile for our customers and fellow team members

· Operating a cash register and bagging groceries

· Sharing product knowledge with customers

· Ensuring the department is well stocked and presented

· Ensuring only the freshest products are displayed

· Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience

· Cleaning equipment and work area to ensure a safe, and sanitary work environment

· Using a variety of equipment, including knives

· Retail, customer service experience considered an asset

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • Operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary
  • Unload dishes, silverware, and glassware promptly and store them in the appropriate places
  • Carry out basic cleaning tasks around the premises
  • Other duties as requested
