What is the opportunity?
ENTUITIVE is looking to grow its Technologist group by supplementing our existing team with a self-motivated individual, with leadership skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment. Entuitive’s current projects span the repair and restoration of existing buildings and the design and construction of new buildings. We are passionate about our work and strive to provide our clients with the utmost in service when it comes to quality and timeliness of our product.
Based in Vancouver, the Senior Structural Technologist will primarily be responsible for drawing production and BIM coordination. The opportunity for increased responsibilities in office and field roles also exists. You will be working collaboratively with the project team from initial model development to final construction document issuance. The Senior Structural Technologist will ensure all work is carried out in full support of our Vision, Mission, Values and One Company culture.
What will you do?
Structural BIM modelling and project coordination. Working in conjunction with the Project Principal, Project Engineer and other members of the design team you will complete projects of varying size and complexity from start to finish.
In our team environment, as workload requires, you will also sometimes assist other Project BIM Technologists in completing work for their project deadlines.
Coordinate the varying responsibilities associated with managing and producing drawings for structural projects, including managing specific files and directories and inter-discipline coordination with outside parties.
Coordinate the work of junior and intermediate technologists, providing guidance and mentorship.
Support in creation of standards and methods to further the strategic development of relevant BIM technologies.
Other duties as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
Diploma in engineering or architectural technology from accredited technical school (two-year diploma) coupled with 7-10 year's experience
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Detailed knowledge of and ability to use both Revit and AutoCAD.
Working knowledge of and ability to use programs such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Interest in applying new technology to support project processes.
Hands on construction experience and/or work with existing facilities is considered an asset.
