Reporting to the HRIS Manager, the HR Analyst - HRIS will provide analytical and technical support to the Human Resources department related to HR information system (HRIS), Workday, by maintaining quality and consistency of HRIS database information. The HR Analyst role also provides security support to the Finance department, as well as technical support when needed.
Support HRIS implementations and assist in the development of systems specifications, design and development from the end user perspective.
Development and maintenance of HRIS reports including employee data related to compensation, payroll and benefits, performance management, skills, etc.
Assist in the development of systems specifications, design and development from the end user perspective.
Assist in business process and template development including investigating, configuration, testing and implementing.
HRIS system administrator, including security configuration for HR, Finance & EPMO. This position will conduct a quarterly security review (including approvals) for Audit purposes.
Review and evaluate Workday releases and functionality to improve Workday.
Manage the HRIS Improvements List and provide updates to the HR team on the progress.
Regular review and management of outstanding Workday tasks.
Develop & deliver employee communications & educational sessions including quarterly “Did you know” newsletters, training and reference guides, change management plans for implementations and releases, etc.
Provide support to all workday users.
Responsible for maintaining confidential employee information and employee records within the Company’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS) - Workday.
Knowledge is generally gained through a university degree or diploma in Business Administration, with a major in Human Resources, or related field, combined with 1-3 years of general HR experience. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience with Workday HCM modules including Core HR, Compensation, Absence, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, Recruitment, Learning and Performance would be an asset.
Experience with Workday configuration and report writing, would be an asset.
Practical knowledge of human resources policies, trends and best practices and the interpretation and application of a collective bargaining agreement as it relates to human resources administration and compensation.
Demonstrated knowledge of research and analysis techniques and demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to perform independent in-depth analysis.
Demonstrated financial acumen with demonstrated computer skills required to create and assimilate data/information for decision making, cost analysis and maintaining databases and spreadsheets.
Strong organizational and time management skills to organize priorities of multiple tasks while adapting to changing circumstance and meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient communicator with a client focus, both verbal and written ability.
High level of integrity and the ability to manage confidential, sensitive and other information with discretion and sound judgment.
