Position Summary: Ensuring that duties and business operations are handled in a timely and efficient manner with a high degree of accuracy. Good communication, attention to detail and teamwork are critical. Work is performed based on established guidelines and duties or a combination of those listed below based on our business needs.

The Cleaning Lead technician provides a key role in the day to day operations and is an integral component to our team!

Fundamental to the organization, the lead technician would be counted upon to have excellent skills with the HVAC equipment both for residential and commercial clients. The lead provides exceptional customer service as the voice of our company. This important position faces new, bold challenges every day! You would operate and drive a duct cleaning truck, cleaning air ducts and furnaces, and commercial HVAC systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform daily walk around start of day Acclaimed! equipment visual inspections to ensure upkeep and cleanliness

  • Perform weekly Acclaimed! equipment inspections to ensure upkeep and cleanliness
  • Recognize workplace hazards and take appropriate actions to ensure safe-work practices
  • Has a general knowledge of household equipment: furnaces, humidifiers, air conditioners, etc.; Knows when equipment is running properly, when it requires service, and how to operate most models
  • Lift and carry cleaning equipment in order to assist in set-up and take-down.
  • Perform HVAC cleaning at residential and commercial locations, working quickly and efficiently
  • Training of WHIMS for chemicals used on site
  • Perform housekeeping and clean-up following appointment completion
  • Communicate with lead if any problems come up, keeping lead in the loop at all times
  • Supervise junior/assistant technicians to ensure they are learning and can follow directions

Customer Service: In addition, the technician is also expected to be competent in providing customer service.

  • Being responsible for building a lasting professional relationship with customers
  • Explaining services and cleaning specifics to customers throughout the cleaning appointment
  • Interacting with all staff and customers in a professional courteous manner
  • Developing and maintaining a high level of credibility with customers by consistently displaying:

Integrity -- honesty and reliability.

  • Explaining services and cleaning specifics to customers throughout the cleaning appointment
  • Up-selling other HVAC products and services at time of service through customer education and sales
  • Communicating to the office the customer's changing needs and requests keeping the lead in the loop
  • Interacting with all staff and customers in a professional manner

Technical Capabilities: This position requires someone who can:

  • Set up job sites for HVAC cleaning process
  • Recognize workplace hazards and adhere to our COR safety requirements ensuring safe work practices
  • Has a general knowledge of household equipment: furnaces, humidifiers, air conditioners, etc.; Knows when equipment is running properly, when it requires service, and how to operate most models.
  • Lift and carry cleaning equipment in order to perform set-up and take-down.
  • Perform HVAC equipment cleaning at residential and commercial locations quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform housekeeping and clean-up following appointment completion.
  • Perform HVAC equipment cleaning for both residential and commercial clients.
  • Daily operation and maintenance of company assets, including powervac trucks.
  • Supervise junior/ assistant technicians ensuring all protocols are being trained and followed

SKILLS, ABILITIES and EXPERIENCE

  • Reliable, & punctual
  • Be dependable and honest, as fiduciary responsibility for customer payments is required

  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and have good time management
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

  • Have adequate communication skills for customer service and interactions with the office

  • Physically fit (physical labour on a daily basis in various weather conditions
  • Be able to work independently, with little supervision
  • Strong team oriented interpersonal skills to maintain our status as an industry leader
  • Cell phone and aptitude for technology
  • Be able to use the following ladders (step, adjustable and extension)
  • Supply their some of their own tools (power drill/screw driver)
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a lead technician/operator, performing furnace and duct cleaning
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Supervisory experience of junior staff
  • An asset would be certification and experience in the following:

1. Fall Protection Training

2. Confined Space Training

3. Aerial Work Platform Training

RELATED EXPERIENCE:

An Asset years of experience as a duct cleaner

Hours 7:15 am - 4:15, scheduled hours are subject to change
