Reporting to the Director, HR Reporting & Analytics the Senior Analyst, HR Reporting & Analytics will be responsible for the ongoing execution and delivery of Talent reporting and will support the design, implementation, optimization and maintenance of Talent reporting solutions. The role will also support execution of various analytics projects working with colleagues across HR and the organization. This is a 12 month contract.
Key priorities for this role include:
Own the execution of scheduled reporting deliverables for various Departments, Senior Management Team, and the Board of Directors using Tableau & Microsoft Excel
Support the management of our HR systems inbox by addressing ad-hoc reporting and metrics related questions
Support efforts focused on HR data reconciliation and quality and help design new controls focused on achieving a reliable and accurate HR data environment
Support development and testing of new reporting functionality, primarily in Tableau
Anticipate needs of others across CPP Investments related to HR reporting, metrics and analytics, and help augment current reporting and analytics accordingly
Support reporting and analytics projects including but not limited to workforce planning, turnover analysis, HR metrics projections
Design new HR metrics in support of Talent decisions
Modify or roll out new sources of HR data in response to emerging risks and business requirements
Assist on creative projects including research, data collection, and statistical analysis on a wide range of datasets
The preferred candidate will have in the range of 2-5 years of experience in related HR roles with deep experience in HR reporting, analytics, workforce planning and proven ability to interpret data and provide recommendations to drive key business decisions
Based on the above, the candidate should have:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, human resources, data science or related fields
Ability to independently research, analyze, interpret and validate data and identify patterns or make connections across various data sets
High attention to detail combined with high accuracy standards
Strong technical skills and experience working with reporting software, tools and database creation
Advanced technical knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) including linked tables, lookups, pivot tables, macros etc.
Experience with Tableau for data visualization & R and Python for statistical analysis is an asset
Excellent communication skills combined with an innate sense of curiosity
Excellent time management and organization skills, with the proven ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to solve problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm and innovation
