Job Description

The District General Manager directs and manages district vending unattended retail and coffee operations to achieve short and long-term profit and total volume objectives, and is accountable for client retention and revenue growth.

We are currently recruiting a high energy District General Manager responsible for overseeing and directing the district in attaining financial and operational goals; setting standards for operations; developing, articulating and communicating goals, expectations and objectives; and supporting all levels and providing appropriate tools to ensure success.

Position Description:
Responsible for the financial performance of the District. This includes but is not limited to: working with the management team to achieve budgeted targets, oversee performance and develop annual budgets and action plans to resolve variances.
Responsible for the operational performance of the district including efficient service delivery and client/customer satisfaction
Responsible for the development and implementation of growth opportunities. Development will consist of but is not limited to: increasing branch capability to operate with maximum capacity to provide better service and generate a better financial return, including the proper optimization of assets.
Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures
Establish and maintain effective client contact at the appropriate client level including identifying clients' needs, communicating account progress, promoting new Company programs and ensuring clients are aware of current applicable government regulations
Document business content of client meetings as well as schedule and coordinate placement and/or removal of equipment at accounts
Oversee Health & Safety meetings, work safely, promote safety and maintain a clean work environment
Recruit, train, assign, motivate, coach, recognize, develop and performance manage team
Participate in union contract negotiations; stay current and abide by all parts of collective bargaining agreements, where applicable
Establish and maintain effective community relations; participate in professional and civic activities and make appropriate public appearances


5 to 10 years leadership experience of broad based operations coupled with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma
Proven ability to lead, motivate, develop and performance manage a team
Analytical; comfortable working extensively with figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
Demonstrated practical problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Past experience working in a unionized environment would be an asset
Must have a valid driver’s license
Flexible for occasional overnight travel as needed
