The Senior Specialist, Information Security Awareness is responsible for the development and implementation of Bell’s security awareness and training programs, driving security best practices adoption, and educating all personnel and contractors of security threats. The Senior Specialist will also be responsible for a large range of strategic projects and assessment programs with significant cross-functional collaboration with functional areas of Security. This position develops and executes targeted security awareness campaigns, and measures the effectiveness of the campaigns. The objective of this position is to ensure that the security awareness program is effectively changing behaviors and security culture within Bell.
Evolve, manage and implement a positive repeatable security awareness program.
Monitor and identify the top risks to the organization and the behaviors to change to mitigate those risks
Manage security communications and awareness campaigns for the national organization
Design, build, and run security awareness initiatives that educate and engage employees regarding information security risks and best practices
Develop educational tools, including security related articles, email bulletins, and education videos, and deliver live and online security training sessions across all business units, increasing staff security awareness and knowledge of security best practices.
Lead the creation and procurement of awareness deliverables and learning content, leveraging various channels and interactive learning experiences for effective delivery in the organization
Measure effectiveness of security campaigns and communications through development of metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms
Incorporate security awareness into classroom and virtual learning, including new hire orientation, new manager training, and other events
Work closely with security leaders and stakeholders, identify areas of focus and ensure security awareness communication plans conform the regulatory, legal, and policy requirements
Ensure program compliance to industry standards and regulations
Own and manage relationships with security education and awareness related vendors
Must be able to advance and maintain an awareness program and work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Experience building and delivering security awareness program in in a large organization
3-5 years of experience deploying and measuring effectiveness of security awareness to a large audience, leveraging webcasts and other technology
5 years of experience in information security and demonstrable understanding of the concepts of information security and principles of information handling and protection
Ability to form complex communications / messages in a simple, clear and concise manner to the various communities within the organization
Experience in executive level presentations and briefings
Practical knowledge of various learning styles and a variety of awareness techniques
Experience writing and designing information security educational material
Experience writing articles and internal web content, team bulletins, and presentations on a wide range of security topics and industry events.
Ability to appropriately balance security awareness needs with business impact and benefit
Creative strategist, and possesses a keen interest in inspiring employees to implement information security best practices as part of their daily business activities.
Excellent communication skills. Bilingualism preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Communications, Marketing, Learning and Development or related field.
CISSP or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in related area considered an asset.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
