Your opportunity to work in community setting providing clinical support to clients residing at Rotary House. This position is a one year maternity leave coverage, offering an excellent chance to work as part of a team including LPN, ACIII, Recovery Workers, Cultural Helper, Housing and Social supports. The Rotary House team offers AHS clinical support as well as social support to the residents of the second and third floors in Rotary House. The Registered Nurse - Supports to Chronic Homelessness functions as the case manager, ensuring assessment of new residents, medication management oversite, regular conferencing, working collaboratively with the Rotary House staff to coordinate needed services. Residents on the 2nd and 3rd floors are utilizing transitional housing; the focus of the team is to offer necessary supports as each client as they progress in their wellness recovery with overall aim to reintegrate to community housing within a two year supportive span. Primary care service is available on site through a Nurse Practitioner. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
2-3 years previous experience in a nursing setting. Previous experience with case management. Interest and comfortable working with population challenged by homelessness, addiction and mental health issues.
2-3 years working in an addition and mental health setting. Previous experience working in a community setting.
