Digital Communications Specialist

"Massive Online Presence"

This will be your guiding mantra when you:

  • Drive the reputation of our brands, products, and company offsite and on
  • Obsess over how to improve the customer experience
  • Collaborate with your teammates to ensure complete alignment with strategic objectives
  • Concisely document, in as few words as possible, best practices for communications channels

This position is full-time in Edmonton, AB, Canada. We welcome local applicants, as well as any Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible international applicants willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the reputation of our brands, products and company through offsite and onsite communications channels (social media, reviews sites, affiliates, press, influencers, etc.)
  • Enhancing the use of established communications channels
  • Discovering and developing new communications channels
  • Coordinating the planning, development, deployment, and performance measurement of communications assets (copy, imagery, video, social posts, etc.)
  • Documenting and disseminating best practices to increase mastery of communications channels
  • Publicly interacting with customers via onsite and offsite channels
  • Working with the advertising team to identify and capitalize on joint organic-paid opportunities
  • Working with teammates to develop and execute communications strategies
  • Ensuring that communications priorities are adequately represented in corporate planning sessions
  • Making sure that any and all work being done is in accordance with clearly defined and measurable objectives
  • Managing the generation of onsite and offsite reviews and engagement
  • Consistently meeting deadlines and operating within budgets
  • Maintaining cutting-edge industry knowledge

Requirements

  • Immaculate written English skills; bilingual skills in French is an asset but not required
  • Conflict management skills and the ability to manage complex customer situations to ensure the best customer experience possible
  • Capable of writing in multiple tones to cater for different audiences on different channels
  • Solid understanding of generating engaging content
  • Expert-level proficiency with social media management tools including (Hootsuite, etc.)
  • Understanding of marketing, communication, and content strategies and how targeted content can fulfill business goals
  • Proven aptitude to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong multi-tasking skills; highly organized
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Flexible schedule
