The Distribution Analyst’s main priorities are to provide analysis, standard KPI reporting, and distribution projects support. The Distribution Analyst will also be responsible for tracking and measuring data from multiple sources to help gain better insight into the distribution universe in detail and identify opportunities to further expand the Red Bull footprint in Canada. She/he works closely with all the Distribution stakeholders such as the Director of Distribution, Distribution Partner Managers (DPMs) and Initiative Manager to provide analytics and insights, create reports and provide recommendations to improve ROI and create efficiencies. Acts as the local subject matter expert for Sales applications (i.e. Encompass) and interacts with the local team and global counterparts.
REPORTING & ANALYSIS
Prepare regularly (daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc) distribution, sales, and cycle plan reports. Have knowledge of these various systems: Encompass, PSA Audit, Drive, BI Planning, Parameter Maintenance, and CRM.Continuously improve standard reports for operational efficiencies.Continuously measure Distribution Partners KPIs and results.
Operates as the expert key user of Encompass Sales Systems to provide distribution and sales updates to the Distribution teamHave ownership of the Encompass system as it pertains to sales & distributors, which includes customer hierarchy, channel & SKU analysis and ensuring consistency among Red Bull distributors.Development and execution of reporting for Director of Distribution and DPMs, reporting issues to cover and actions required.Assist in the onboarding and training of new employees for Encompass, and distribution audit (PSA) scoringOwn the forecast and forecasting process of the independent universe
DATA MANAGEMENT & ANALYSIS
Active in Planning Cycle (roll-up, plan-to-actual gap analyses, progress reporting and more)Support Director of Distribution/DPMs with forecasting and creation of quarterly targets.Distribution Cost Budget Analyses and budget oversight and governance in internal reporting tools
Under guidance of Senior Commercial Data Manager, will help to drive ad-hoc initiatives & projects to deepen Red Bull Canada’s insights in the Distribution landscape; will support On & Off Premise Sales and other initiatives as assignedProvide leadership support with several key distribution projects such as Perfect Store Audit (PSA), Drive, VIP and Depletions.Assist in the day-to-day communications, training and reporting of the 3rd party PSA audit company, and other 3rd party Data sourcing.Become key user for all trade tools, including the launch of distribution tools, such as Drive Audit Tool and Business Insights Reporting.Create surveys in Encompass for the Distribution Partners to measure execution, and National Contests
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
1-3 years’ experience in a similar analytical role
High level of competence with Microsoft Excel & other Office Suite tools
Strong quantitative, analytic and problem-solving skills
Basic knowledge of Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is considered an asset
Ability to analyze diverse data and formulate clear, focused and actionable recommendations
Solid communication & presentation skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
University – Bachelor’s Degree
Fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage
