What you’ll do:
Collects and analyses information, spreadsheets and background materials to prepare, proofread and format highly effective reports for on-going Credit Risk Management, monthly Management Credit Committee reports and periodic reporting to Board Committees.
Coordinates with Operations and Finance as required to ensure timely receipt of accurate data and information required for monthly and quarterly reporting analytics.
Calculates and input all Credit Risk Metrics for finalization of quarterly Board reports.
Through observation, identifies key trends in Credit Risks and determines their urgency/priority.
Ensures that all internal policies and procedures are being adhered to in regards to credit risk reports.
Designs database queries, tapping into data from the banking system.
Manages the database specific to all lending limits granted to lending staff in Business and Family Banking.
Continually reviews the requirements of the regulatory bodies and prepares reports for submission.
Under direction from the Vice President Credit, supports the advancement of Credit initiatives by participating in the design and development of business planning processes and tools as well as the development of new reports and metrics.
Reconcile various internal and external accounts and prepares various invoices and billings for payment.
Provides administrative support to the VP Credit.
Maintains the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive reports and documents.
Co-ordinates logistics for meeting and presentations.
Establishes a high personal standard of service and performance by actively participating in other duties assigned, education seminars, and training programs. A commitment to continuous learning is necessary in this role to ensure that our practices are current with new technologies and procedures.
What you’ll need:
Experience and/or education in financial/database/statistical analysis is important
Fundamental knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Access, advanced Excel, Power BI or other Business Intelligence software
A forward-thinking approach to electronic document and report production, retention, and maintenance
Sound understanding of the administrative component of lending products
Demonstrated team player with the ability to maintain composure, efficiency and flexibility under pressure
Sound judgment is required when making decisions
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to plan, schedule, organize and prioritize work assignments
Ability to handle moderately complex and challenging projects as assigned
Education in business analytics software, or a related field.
