A day in the life of the Senior Business Analyst
The Senior Business Analyst is an exceptional analytical thinker who is passionate about delivering actionable insight to product teams at the right place and right time using data and analytics. This individual is business value driven by nature, beginning with the end user and end objective in mind. Reporting to the Manager of Data Science & Product Analytics, the Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for staying on top of the “pulse” of product performance and leading a team to deliver reports and dashboards to our business partners.

core accountabilities
  • Understand intimately how our product teams operate; identify opportunities to more deeply integrate analytics into business processes
  • Serve as a voice of the business within the Product Analytics and Data Science team and with technology partners, driving all towards a seamless reporting and analytics experience for end users
  • Work with the Manager of Data Science & Product Analytics, technology partners, and product executives to define a roadmap for enhancing product reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Be responsible for project plans across cross-functional teams of business, analytics, and technology resources, ensuring plans align with strategic objectives and deliver in a timely manner
  • Manage and develop a team of data analysts
  • Communicate roadmap and progress to business stakeholder group of 100+
The Finer Print
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of work experience in vertically integrated apparel retail, some of which in merchandise planning, merchandising, or supply chain
  • 2-3 years of experience managing direct reports
  • Demonstrated leadership in a cross-functional setting; proficiency working with business, analytics, and technology teams
  • Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A strategic mindset, and an ability to pivot quickly between a long-term vision and tactical execution
  • Expertise in design thinking and the science of data visualization
  • Working understanding of Power BI, SQL, relational databases, and the data science workflow
