Job Description
The Inventory analyst will perform Inventory Management analysis activities and be responsible for ensuring that optimized quantities of necessary items are held in inventory and replenished as needed to meet supply-chain targets and contractual service levels/agreements and accurate financial reporting through Fishbowl methodologies. This role will analyze business plans and utilize modeling techniques to set inventory targets and control levels, develop short and long-term supply plans and determine the impact of inventory control issues on service levels. The Inventory Analyst will also assess risks, identify trends and opportunities and make recommendations to develop inventory related contingency plans. The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the initiation and maintenance of inventory related physical location and system controls, standards and policies and procedures.
Accountable for perpetual inventory and physical counts; responsible for accurate monitoring of inventory of products. Works closely with various departments to ensure items are in stock. Makes efforts to reduce warehousing costs by implementing control procedures and maintaining policies and procedures to manage the flow of supplies. Identifies out of balance items and determines causes for discrepancies. Works independently to develop strategies and makes professional judgments based on industry standards and best practices.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate and manage inventory of raw materials and finished products between departments and external suppliers and customers according to department and production schedules based on priority.
- Ensure the completion of all inventory transactions in Fishbowl. Generate reports, reconcile results and make system adjustments.
- Generate cycle count and able to resolve Inventory discrepancy.
- Establish and maintain ABC inventory controls for raw material and finished product.
- Create BOM on daily basis for finished product in FISHBOWL ERP system.
- Record all incoming and in process materials and coordinate its disposition to appropriate departments in accordance with the company SOP.
- Analyze results to determine root causes, gather statistics and recommend solutions. Manage and control strategic min/max initiatives.
- Analyze product backorders and substitutions to identify problem products or categories and determine trends. Identify and document data for analysis to find efficiencies and to recommend improvements in a timely manner thereby avoiding increased costs and reduction in profitability.
- Create and manage KPI metrics and reports based on inventory levels, valuation, activity, turns, obsolescence, purchase price variance, etc. Analyze the reports and make recommendations.
- Coordinate month end system closing and reporting activities
- Assist the Buyer/Planners and Procurement Manager with special projects and other duties as required.
- Participate in meetings with functional departments to assess business unit requirements and review and evaluate current practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and coordinating appropriate actions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
