Position details:

We are currently seeking a receptionist to join the accounting team. This is a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will work under direct supervision of the office manager and accounting team members.

Duties will also include secretarial, telephone, and general office assistance.

Receptionist Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
  • Notifies company personnel of visitor arrival.
  • Maintains security and telecommunications system.
  • Informs visitors by answering or referring inquiries.
  • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department listings.
  • Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, and issuing visitor badges.
  • Operates telecommunication system by following manufacturer’s instructions for house phone and console operation.
  • Keeps a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Supports continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The receptionist position will be cross-trained in other duties in the accounting department to provide phone relief and office assistance.


Experience with data entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable, the general ledger, cash receipts and some month-end reconciliations (e.g. accounts payable, purchasing, petty cash reconciliation, etc.).

Experience with keyboarding, word processing, spread-sheeting, databases and other standard computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level.

Strong oral, interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to quickly learn policies and procedures as they relate to the position and to use initiative in making decisions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
