The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Credit Officer to join our Operations team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Credit the Credit Officer is responsible for the oversight of all daily client cash flows and margin requirements in accordance with Aviso’s internal controls and regulatory requirements

What your day looks like:
Review and authorize cheques, EFTs and wires based on firm policies, AML regulations and regulatory requirements
Daily monitoring of cash and registered account deficits
Issuance and tracking of margin calls based on firm limits and regulatory requirements
Monitoring daily security concentration levels
Supporting internal stakeholders with guidance on credit related matters, including account transfers
Assisting in capital and credit reporting
Provide excellent customer service to external and internal clients
Ensure procedure manuals are updated regularly and in adherence with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Actively participate in team meetings and seek ideas for process improvements


Your experience and skills:
Some post-secondary education (including professional development)
2 years of related work experience
Completion of CSC is an asset
Completion of Derivatives Fundamentals Course is an asset
Application of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to analyze discrepancies and provide solutions
Ability to work independently and apply knowledge with limited guidance
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet required deadlines
Ability to multi-task and manage fluctuating workloads
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
