Word Data Processing Clerk II - Waste Drop Off Services Administrative Support Up to 11 months

Waste Services Branch is currently looking for administration support to provide clerical assistance and assigned work/data processing tasks for management and staff in the Collection Services Section. As a Word Data Processing Clerk II - Waste Drop Off Services Administrative Support, you will retrieve, collect, provide, and maintain statistics and reports for the section.
You will specifically be responsible for:
Prepare monthly invoices for waste drop off services
Prepare monthly and yearly summaries and reports of commodities, weights, sales and revenue of ECO Station, Depot and Litter programs
Prepare and take meeting minutes related to Collection Services activities as requested
Arrange for payments for all invoices for all Waste Drop Off programs
Provide back-up and relief for clerical positions engaged in payroll data entry, field order processing and reception duties
Provide administrative support by tracking and recording OH&S incident investigations, safety inspection deficiencies, vehicle collisions and the early intervention program
Perform other related duties as required
Completion of Grade 12 including business subjects related to word and information processing or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college, supplemented by training in basic microcomputer applications
Minimum of two (2) years' diversified word and information processing experience, with progressive experience and at least one year's experience in the compilation of statistical reports
Experience compiling statistics, preparing reports and minute taking
Must have basic mathematical aptitude to have the ability to compile statistical information
Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Applications is required
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and time management skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and closely with a team
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively when dealing with internal and external customers
A self-starter who is able to work independently under no or minimal supervision required to carry out daily work
Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and to maintain effective working relationships
Must exercise effective conflict resolution skills
Ability to solve problems, take initiative, and make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures
Applicants may be tested
Experience working with Geoware, SWCOLL and RECOLL
Knowledge of the Waste Services Branch in an operational environment
Knowledge of payroll practices and procedures and related collective agreements
Working knowledge of SAP and lntelex

Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of variable hours of work program.
Salary: $23.664 - $29.385 (Hourly)
