Parts Person - Salt Water Maintenance

MOWI Canada West is currently seeking an individual to join the team as a full-time, permanent Parts Person within our Saltwater Operations. Reporting to the Marine Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will support the maintenance department by sourcing and ordering goods and services to carry out maintenance and repairs of machinery and equipment on our salmon farms.

To assist the Maintenance Department with the sourcing and ordering of goods and services.
Request quotes for parts and services.
Generate Purchase orders for good and services.
Follow up on status of order and communicate/update supplier and internal customers.
Work with the Warehouse and Logistic Department to ensure timely delivery of parts.
Support the maintenance department with any other administrative need, as per example: organizing documentation, writing procedures and manuals, reporting, etc.
Work closely with Maintenance Manager to forecast parts needed to carry out our ‘Predictive and Preventive Maintenance’ plan.
Optimize equipment safety and efficiency by participating in continuous improvement projects.
Work on other projects as required.
Be self-starting and able to communicate with a wide range of people in all levels of the building/sub-contracting industry.
Work with other trades and contractors in a flexible team environment to achieve greater efficiencies and productivity.
Communicate with the production and operations team on regular bases.
Work safely and ensure safety of staff and of outside contractors working on site as per MOWI Canada West policy and procedures.

Have sales/customer service experience.
Experience with Procurement Software.
Parts or warehouse certification(s) will be considered an asset.
Able to work under pressure and adaptable to changes.
Be proficient in the Microsoft Office package with emphasis in Excel and Word.
Be committed and self-motivated, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills.
Mechanically inclined (previous trades background preferred).
Experience in the aquaculture industry (or other marine based industries) will be considered an asset.
