Position Summary

Working across the supply chain (internally and externally), the objective of this role is to foster and lead collaborative opportunities and drive operational improvements for Nestlé Purina PetCare and our key customers. To lead a team of Supply Chain Analysts and aggressively seek opportunities to grow our business through improved on shelf availability, on time delivery and improved replenishment cycles, maximizing mutually beneficial solutions for both Nestlé Purina PetCare and the customer. A key member of the National Planning team, working to drive Best in Class deliverables, E2E business solutions, ensuring that Nestlé Purina PetCare is recognized as a preferred vendor, driving competitive advantage within our market.

Major Responsibilities

Drive operational efficiencies across the complete Supply Chain, reducing “Cost to Serve”. Establish operational effectiveness scorecard to highlight opportunities with core customers and prioritize efforts.

Make our “Customer’s agenda, our agenda” while ensuring compliance to Nestle Terms and Conditions and maximize Nestlé R.O.I.

Drive recognition of customer specific opportunities that enhances Nestle Supply Chain performance

Ensure all team members are aggressively seeking operational improvement opportunities and drive the development of mutually beneficial solutions (i.e. Cycle Time, Optimal Order Quantity & Frequency).

Lead the analysis and development of solutions for all potential non-compliance issues.

Lead team in customer collaboration efforts to ensure that customers demand and replenishment needs are satisfied in the most cost effective way and at the required speed.

Ongoing evaluation of key metrics to ensure performance targets are achieved.

Ensure Nestlé SOP’s adherence by all team members (i.e. T&C, Returns & Refusals, Vendor Agreement Policy)

Provide input into Vendor Agreement Policy process as it pertains to Supply Chain.

Lead Customer Implementation aspect in roll out of strategic/ corporate Supply Chain initiatives.

Provide direction/guidance as it pertains to all Supply Chain elements of Joint Business Planning with key customers

Ensure functional alignment in order to support Organizational MBS and Corporate OMP

Lead the creation and execution of the functional OMP.functional OMP
Co-develop Customer communication strategy with MDO and sales in Customer Supply Chain change management

Drive team development to achieve “Best in Class” Service recognition.

Consistently demonstrated ability to build, develop and motivate a high-performing customer oriented team.

Inspire direct reports to exceed customer expectations.

Continuously create opportunities for team members to develop business and template knowledge (SAP).

Drive proactive exploration of all internal and external processes and develop effective alternatives to deliver improvements.

Engage, and drive alignment within, cross functional teams required to deliver ongoing cost effective customer satisfaction.

Foster a climate of open dialogue and collaboration through effective cross functional meetings.

Ongoing monitoring of team member performance with targeted coaching to ensure development.

Execution of robust PE and PDG process to ensure adequate growth and development of individual team members

Ensure adequate resource development to support future business growth.

Drive team development to achieve “Best in Class” Supply Chain recognition.

Ensures effective interaction with Sales, MDO, Customer Service, Planning and Operations to support strategic business direction and deliver execution.

Externally liaise with Customer Replenishment Teams to optimize business results and joint supply chain metrics with a focus on improving efficiency for both parties

Guide team in Using CPFR strategies to ensure the Key account(s) critical metrics are maintained.

Ensures team leverages thorough analysis of all factors and facilitates the creation & development of business solutions through the use of CPFR & other decision support tools.

Ongoing monitoring of CPFR Manager and Analysts processes & performance with targeted coaching to ensure development.

Drive the value the Customer Facing Team provides in achieving and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Deliver effective business solutions on time

Conduct regular operational reviews internally and externally, implementing required changes to improve results.

Actively lead all customer collaboration initiatives.

Ensure team delivers continuous review of customer activities, analyze data, and identify trends taking corrective action and modifying procedures as required to meet customer objectives.

Build organizational capability to implement/enhance customer analytics and performance scorecarding

Ensure appropriate contingency and business continuity plans are in place, to mitigate customer service disruption

Monitoring the effectiveness of solution design against performance factors and adjusts as necessary to achieve results.

Qualifications

University Degree in Business, (designation in supply chain management, business, sales, marketing or related experience would be an asset).

5-10 years of demonstrates Supply Chain knowledge within a customer centric environment.

Excellent Leadership skills.
Strategic Long Term Planning/Thinking experience.
Previous experience managing people would be an asset.
Knowledge of distribution, warehousing, and logistics.

Strong knowledge of Inventory Management and Inventory Replenishment Policies and Theory.

Proven ability to manage change and implement process improvements.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Highly analytical and problem solving / prevention skills.
