We operate with a state of the art finishing facility equipped with a Cefla automatic spraying and conveyor line, and Sunspot catalytic paint drying system.

THE POSITION

The Finishing Production Manager is responsible for leading, planning, directing & coordinating the flow of production in the finishing area in compliance with Company goals and objectives. The Manager strives for excellence and will develop and train a team capable of high quality finished wood products in an efficient and cost effective manner. The Manager will promote a positive, collaborative, results oriented work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record of leadership capabilities
  • Has hands on knowledge of wood finishing materials and methods
  • Can troubleshoot and diagnose defects through root cause analysis, and can teach defect diagnostics to the team
  • Communicates effectively, and is able to address coworkers fairly and equitably

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, teach and develop a team of finishers in a manufacturing environment
  • Plan production schedules
  • Direct the team and produce constructive feedback concerning best practices, defect detection, desired output/yields, workmanship, etc
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization and a safe working environment
  • Share capacity constraints with Upper Management in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate inventory using the Kanban system
  • Inspect all finished product and WIP
  • Track all deficiency work, investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions
