WHAT THIS CHALLENGE IS ABOUT
The Intern will assist Marketing & Operations with day-to-day activities with a focus on completing "Special Projects".
Assist with the development and execution of all marketing campaigns;
Shadow and learn other departments including Guest Services, Specialty Leasing, and Operations, and assist on projects as needed;
Assist with uploading creative content on digital and web applications for all marketing campaigns;
Review the accuracy of all digital directories and website; remove, add and update store descriptions, names, vacancies, and photos as needed;
Assist in proofing all marketing and advertising materials before they are published;
Assist in sourcing engaging content for social media platforms;
Take photographs of all marketing campaigns and events;
Interact with tenants and other partners to identify opportunities and engage with on projects;
Data entry and post-mortem studies on customer demographics;
Distribute marketing materials to select hotels to promote tourism;
Input client data from the” Southgate Stylist” program into a client database and complete an analysis report to identify trends and new areas for growth;
Assist with the development and execution of the Annual Tenant Survey, compile data and present results to Southgate Management Team;
Assist with the annual Waste Audit and training review of procedures with all Tenants;
Support the Operations Supervisor with annual RiskCheck Audit;
Assist Operations Manager, Property Manager and GM with annual budget process;
Special Projects as assigned by Marketing, Operations and Specialty Leasing;
Other projects and duties as required.
What we’re looking for
Qualified Applicants must be enrolled in the third or fourth year of the Bachelor of Commerce program with a marketing or business major;
Applicants must have the ability oversee the implementation of various programs with minimal supervision;
Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs are an asset;
Must be highly motivated, a team player who can actively contribute to the centre's overall objectives;
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment;
Local travel is sometimes required – (employee is responsible for his or her own transportation).
