Overview

The Senior Designer concepts, refines, designs, and creates impactful design solutions for brands across multiple platforms including packaging, in store, digital, social, mobile, print, environmental, experiential, etc. Delivers basic to complex design program(s), integrating images, text, motion, etc., with a strong sense of aesthetics, while executing against the brand and/or product vision, and the creative brief.Works both independently and collaboratively with creative leadership, strategists, copywriters, and a variety of specialists across the extended award winning creative team both locally and across the global network. Ensures deliverables are completed in an efficient manner- on time and on budget. May coordinate or prioritize the work of other employees performing similar duties in minor projects.

Job Responsibilities Operational Excellence
Ensures accurate, consistent, and timely completion of basic to advanced level client design deliverables within budget, meeting client expectations, objectives, and creative brief specifications.
Presents or participates in creative brief processes or planning meetings with clients and/or internal teams for assignments of varying scope and complexity as needed.
Meets quality standards at all times for all assigned deliverables and makes recommendations to Management for improvements in creative design concept, tools, processes and/or assigned tasks.

Client Experience
Attends client meetings as necessary.
Ensures high quality standards in all creative design client deliverables.
In depth understanding of the company‘s products, solutions and services.
Proficient understanding of the assigned clients’ products, services, and brand standards.

Qualifications / Requirements
Education & Certifications
College or equivalent degree within appropriate discipline such as Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Package Design, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.

Experience
Proven strategic creative design experience in brand development, packaging design, marketing communications, and/or advertisingor similar functional area within an agency or similar environment.
Experience in CPG, food, and health brands is highly preferred

Skills & Abilities
Proficient understanding of effective Creative Design practices, trends, techniques, tools and processes, across various touch points (e.g. packaging, in store, online, digital, social, mobile, print, direct, advertising, etc.).
Proficiency in major design and page layout software programs including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop
Some proficiency in video and motion graphics software such as After Effects is considered a desirable asset
Experience designing presentations and templates for Keynote and PowerPoint
Proficient in MAC operating environment
Proficient business software skills (e.g. MS-Office Suite)
Excellent people, organizational, and analytical skills.
Adaptable and agile to meet the various requirements of a variety of projects, clients, personalities and requirements.
Acute attention to detail.
Excellent written and visual communication skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to communicate with various internal, external contacts in a variety of functions.
Ability to translate existing and emerging concepts into compelling and effective graphic designs
Ability to develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with peers and colleagues and work effectively in a team setting
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Proactive, takes initiative, identifies problems and develops solutions and recommendations
Ability to handle a full workload of projects and assignments, prioritize work, and to meet assigned deadlines in an efficient and effective manner.
May require overnight domestic and US travel periodically as applicable
