HDR is the technical advisor for the Ontario Line, one of the largest subway projects in North America. This new 16-kilometer, fully automated driverless line serving 15 underground, surface and elevated stations in Toronto will accommodate nearly 400,000 daily boardings. It introduces a modern new transportation option to neighborhoods that historically have not had access to a major transit line. We are currently seeking team-oriented professionals in the transit and infrastructure arenas to contribute to the success of this iconic project.
HDR is seeking an Intermediate Level Project Manager. The primary duty of the Project Manager is to manage multi-discipline assignments for transit, and related industrial based projects. Projects types will include studies, preliminary and detailed design, and construction administration / support. The selected individual will be responsible for client liaison, coordination of the project team, technical disciplines and sub-consultants, scheduling, cost and budget control, quality control and other associated project management tasks. Responsibilities will include also for the submission of project deliverables, and for construction support activities and submittals.
The successful candidate will be required to lead and participate in preparing proposals/RFP responses. This person must be able to perform with minimal oversight. Associated responsibilities will include the verification that corporate Quality Control procedures are followed at a project level. Work will also include the update of projects status using the HDR’s systems for project and financial management. The successful candidate will also perform routine administrative duties related to the completion of a projects.

A degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical) from a recognized university.
The candidate must have 8 years’ experience in project management and in the coordination multi-disciplinary design and construction projects..
Experience in cost control and scheduling is essential and required. Experience with MS Office Suite, especially Excel; and MS Project scheduling software expertise required.
A PMP designation is preferred
Experience in a Facilities based assignments is a definite asset.
Transit design and construction experience.
