This position designs, implements and supports the overall availability of networked hardware and systems.

Under the direction of the Manager of Shared Services this position will act as the Senior Technical resource and advisor of IT Systems and support, including system(s) selection, design and implementation and ensuring they are supported by all Shared Services staff.

The Job:
Sets up and configures imaging process for building new workstations, automating and scripting deployment
Designs, implements, upgrades and supports IT security systems, to ensure NIST 800-53 requirements
Designs and provides detailed troubleshooting of any remote access systems
Automates deployment of standard applications through scripting tools and systems
Designs and implements client management (login) scripts, as required
Influence in design and support of telephone and unified communications systems
Ensure central secured printer deployment and automation
Analyze workstation performance issues and makes recommendations for improvements
Provides advanced management and configuration of office network infrastructure and corporate firewalls
Provides other systems, software and hardware support and completes additional support as needed
Implementation of process or tools to ensure accurate inventory of all hardware and software
Implementation of monitoring and management of data center equipment, such as servers, storage, compute and HVAC equipment to ensure maximum system health and up time
Design and implement backup systems to meet the business data retention and recovery requirements
Acquiring and maintaining vendor and site documentation pertaining to IT systems
Support of file servers, managing and monitoring space, and using file permissions to ensure appropriate control to data, reporting on various access levels, and designing new folder structures
Act as primary vendor liaison for support cases and escalations
Research and recommend updates for current systems or processes, or new systems to add value to the IT environment
Provides Tier II-III level IT customer support
Implementation of network vulnerability scanning tools, producing reports of vulnerabilities and making recommendations and plans to remediate
Create and maintain a systems patching schedule
Certificate management, both 3rd party and internal PKI certificates, including design and implementation
Support of ERP and (SQL) database environments, as required
Analyze data and link appropriate systems as required
Must be available for 24x7 support in the event of scheduled and unscheduled downtime

You Bring:
2 year College Diploma or Business School diploma or equivalent.
10 years working experience in an IT Systems and Network support role.
Strong problem solving/analytical/critical thinking skills;
Detailed technical design and implementation skills
Ability to work with vendors, vet systems requirements to ensure the correct solution is recommended
Self-starter with excellent organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills;
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment;
Ability to follow through with tasks, projects and troubleshooting, Excellent oral and written, and communication skills,
In depth Knowledge and Experience in the following IT Infrastructure technologies and systems:
Active Directory, Group Policy & Windows Server 2008/2012
Storage (SAN) administration (HP and Nimble)
VMWare ESX and vSphere 6.x
Disaster Recovery, Backups and archiving (VEEAM)
PowerShell & scripting in Active Directory and Windows
Utilizing vendor API’s to extract information and link systems
Microsoft Windows Server, DNS, DFS, DHCP, print servers, WSUS
External DNS tools and management (Network Solutions)
Utilizing and optimizing monitoring and alerting tools (PRTG, Solarwinds)
Detailed knowledge of networking concepts and design, including TCP/IP, routing and DHCP
Excellent knowledge of firewalls and rule and policy configuration and deployment
Good understanding of Windows 7 and Windows 10 – using Group Policy and other tools to centrally manage settings and configuration
Exchange email and anti-spam administration
Advanced configuration of Sophos firewalls and endpoint technologies
Remote Desktop Gateway deployment and management
Mobile Device Management design, implementation and support
SIEM deployment and support for logging network devices and systems
Nessus, or network scanning tool implementation and administration
Dual Factor and SSO design, implementation and administration
Produce, update and maintain systems documentation
Mentor and train other Shared Services staff as required
Understanding of industry best practices regarding information security
Knowledge of hardware and software configuration and support
A focus on Customer service and satisfaction, and a drive to maintain and improve it
