SkipTheDishes is seeking a talented and motivated Senior User Experience Researcher to join the growing UX research team. UX research is becoming a key ingredient in our product strategy and you will be integral to our success.
As a Senior User Experience Researcher, you’ll be working closely with our Design and Product teams on our Customer, Courier, and Restaurant apps, as well as craft discovery/formative research, to advance the innovation and improvements of our existing and not-yet-built technology. We’re looking for a brilliant thinker with a knack for problem-solving, someone with a passion for digging into the data, managing and facilitating user testing sessions, and empathizing with hungry people, busy restaurants and ambitious couriers.
The Senior UX Researcher will be primarily responsible for designing, conducting, analyzing, and reporting on user-centered design research for a variety of products, including identification of user needs and goals, task and workflow modeling, ethnography and persona development as well as rapid iterative usability testing, and more formal, in-depth testing.
You will be part of the team that validates ideas and identifies new opportunities. You will be given a huge amount of freedom in your role as you identify gaps in our knowledge and plan research to give us a deeper understanding of where opportunities are.
Research - The Senior UX Researcher scopes, designs and conducts research, identifying the best method or a mix of methods based on research questions, timeline and resources. The Senior UX Researcher is responsible for all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting) for both formative and summative research.
Analysis and recommendations - The Senior UX Researcher will perform their own analysis and make recommendations by identifying user needs and converting them into actionable objectives for future product research and development. The Senior UX Researcher summarises the findings and recommendations of research studies and communicates them clearly to stakeholders.
Foster UX Culture - The Senior UX Researcher will help define the culture and application of UX principles for SkipTheDishes. The right candidate will find ways to ingrain UX into all facets of product development at SkipTheDishes.
Roadmap & Discovery - The Senior UX Researcher will work closely with product and design stakeholders to generate research that directly informs quarterly, bi-annual, and annual product roadmaps for each of Skip’s core product verticals - Customer, Courier, Restaurant.
Coaching and mentoring - The Senior UX Researcher spends time mentoring other UX disciplines, leveling up our UXR team, and helping evolve our tools and research best practices to continually grow and improve the discipline.
Significant industry experience applying varied UX research methodologies to deliver high quality and actionable findings as an individual contributor
End-to-end experience with all aspects of research (study design, test creation, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, and process management)
Demonstrated ability to coach team members on UX research methods and principles
Will have good business acumen and be able to contribute to their direct project domains in collaboration with other key stakeholders from Product and Design teams, including UI and UX Designers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Strategic Development Team, Technical Managers and Engineers
Experience of managing stakeholders across numerous departments and working collaboratively with other disciplines
Demonstrate the benefits and limitations of various UX research methodologies
Able to deal with complex research questions and apply the correct methodology(ies)
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Ability to lead multiple projects and foster UXR mentoring
Be a subject matter expert, for any major topic related to the projects you are overseeing
Supporting cross-functional team workflows
Understanding of the creation and delivery of UX deliverables in a consumer-facing or enterprise organization
Developing an understanding of online product design in the food technology sector
