General Accountability

Reporting to the Controller the Payroll Administrator & Sr. Accounting Clerk is responsible for the payroll and remittance function as well as assisting with the accounts payable, accounts receivables and reconciliation functions.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Processes bi-weekly payroll
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll
  • Coordinates & Receives from the Human Resources department relevant payroll documentation
  • Calculates and enters payroll adjustments
  • Prepares and processes off-cycle payroll manual payments
  • Processes garnishments as directed
  • Processes and file all remittances including taxes, HST/ WSIB/EHT, etc
  • Enrolls employees onto benefit programs and updates information as required
  • Prepares account reconciliations.
  • Prepares and enters invoices
  • Assists with payable/receivable, cash receipts, check runs and wire transfer process
  • Processes incoming/outgoing mail
  • Performs bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Resolves any invoice discrepancies
  • Prepares and posts journal entries
  • Provides support for other members of the accounting team.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation experience

· High level Excel and spreadsheet building skills

· Experience with accounting and MRP software

· Exceptional communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
