Five Star Fishing Resort invites you to join our culinary team in a remote island setting on the Northwest Pacific Coast. We are located on beautiful Wales Island, BC, a 20 minute float plane ride from Prince Rupert, heading north to the boarder of Alaska. Eagle Pointe Lodge is a true wilderness experience that will give you an opportunity to diversify your culinary techniques and execute high quality food production while enjoying the bountiful wildlife, breathtaking views and adventures the island has to provide from fishing, to hiking, clam digging, berry picking and much more.

Responsibilities and Duties,

*Breakfast prep and service for staff

*Daily baking of pastries, cookies, squares, cakes for both guests and staff

* Work under the head chef to prep food, maintain stations and execute service

*Cook menu items in cooperation with other staff

*Answer, report and follow head chef’s instructions

*Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards

*Assist in daily cleaning, dishes, sanitation and organization of kitchen

*Ensure proper handling of all food products, including reducing waste and adhering to lodge standards of maintaining adequate food costs

*Help to raise the standards and bring new concepts forth by creating new and exciting menu items to engage the interest of our guests

* Work harmoniously and professionally with an enthusiastic hardworking team devoted to providing superior service and keep guests experience at the forefront.

Qualifications and Skills,

*Culinary School, Pastry Chef experience or relevant cooking experience in a high quality, well rounded kitchen for minimum of 2 years

*Food Safe Certified

*Creative, goal oriented, good time management skills with a strong sense of attention to detail

*A team player, enthusiastic who strives to advance their knowledge through their skills and abilities

*Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and exceptional organizational skills

*Enjoys physical work, lifting, repetitive movement and being on your feet for extended periods of time

* They must have the ability to continuously learn, listen and respect all standards and policies while continuously striving to improve standards of the operation.

*Sincere desire to provide the guests an exceptional lodge experience and willingness to execute all food and service to superior standards.
