David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a widely recognized Industrial firm in south Edmonton, is looking to hire a Receptionist with 2 years of experience starting June 2020.
This position will report directly to the Human Resource Manager and will require an extremely polished individual with outstanding communication skills. The position is a 3 day a week position Monday - Wednesday and is a 2-month term with a possibility of an extension or extended hours. The ideal candidate will be energetic, positive, well-groomed, and have excellent attention to detail. Intermediate MS Word and Excel is a must for this position.
Managing and monitoring the front desk, greeting staff, building maintenance, stakeholders and visitors
Answering and directing calls using an easy to use phone system -generally, summer months are very busy with up to 80 calls per day
Providing visitor badges
Processing incoming and outgoing mail
Issuing parking passes
Scheduling appointments and booking meeting rooms
Setting up boardrooms for all scheduled meetings
Organizing catering and potlucks for staff
Preparing the office for monthly client events
Conducting market research and providing assistance to the business development team
Ordering office supplies
Ensuring the kitchen and front desk areas are kept clean
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous 2 years of Receptionist/Clerk experience
Intermediate MS Word skills with the ability to draft memos
Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to create basic spreadsheets and enter data
Professional image and excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal communication skills
The ability to prioritize and multi-task
Our client's location is difficult to get to with the current transit reduction in hours.
