Responsibilities and Duties

The Day To Day

  • Work out of our downtown office (Yonge & Bloor)
  • Work closely with the company’s Founder and Marketing team to build a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Manage your daily prospecting activities within Salesloft with the goal of touching over 200 prospects per day
  • Conduct initial conversations to understand the legal needs of prospective clients
  • Book meetings for the company Founder with potential clients
  • Attend sales meeting with the company Founder as required
  • Leverage CRM to track all open opportunities and log all meetings/notes
  • Report weekly on progress against monthly targets
  • Provide feedback on company messaging, direction and everything else that comes along with being part of an exciting young startup

Qualifications and Skills

  • Someone interested in career progression – we expect that the Business Development Representative will grow into a full cycle Account Executive

The Ideal Qualifications

  • 1-2 years full cycle sales experience or business development (BDR)/sales development (SDR) experience
  • Experience selling B2B services or software
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Knowledge of the legal industry or business law is a plus
  • A university degree or equivalent experience

Salary: $75,000 on-target earnings including $45,000 annual base salary
