This posting is to hire a permanent full-time position (75 hours bi-weekly) in Whitehorse.

Community Nursing provides Primary Health Care which is carried out by a system of health facilities that are designated to meet the health needs of the community in which they are situated.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Support Services, you are responsible for providing a variety of program assistance to the Community Nursing Branch such as assisting the Telehealth Coordinator, ensuring the smooth operation of the Telehealth Program which is used to support the needs of patients, healthcare professional and communities, as well as providing administrative and financial services to the branch.

Essential Qualifications

Coursework in Business Administration, Accounting and/or Information Technology

Recent experience providing administrative support in an office setting

Experience completing financial administration tasks (such as accounts payable, reconciliations and processing travel claims)

Proficient using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel

Transferable and recent experience supporting technology infrastructure and providing IT support is an asset

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability

Candidates should have and maybe assessed on:
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good understanding and use of computers and software

Ability to maintain confidentially and exhibit tact and diplomacy

Excellent time management skills, including the ability to take direction from multiple sources

Additional Information:
Condition of Employment: Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence

Job Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs, some physical work required i.e. connecting cables, setting up equipment
