Alberta Hospital Edmonton is a 300-bed psychiatric campus of care in Edmonton. It is an exciting time to be part of the AHE team and to act as a champion of change for AHE’s Ambition 2023 strategy – a quality care initiative set to renew services offered within AHEs inpatient, outpatient and residential programs. You will lead a team that will review the organizational structure of allied health and patient programming to align with the evolving needs of our patients, families and the community. Reporting to the Director of Tertiary, Forensic & Residential Services, you will be at the forefront of enhancing the patient experience and allied health service delivery model at AHE. You will provide clinical oversight applying the best evidence informed practice and using a continuous quality improvement approach so that services delivered meet the ever changing and complex needs of patients. You will provide leadership to an interdisciplinary team responsible for overseeing clinical services including case management, assessment, care planning and direct professional services that are provided to patients at Alberta Hospital Edmonton. You will also oversee vocational programs that are vital for positive, meaningful and recovery focused care. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for: program/service renewal including evidence-informed changes to achieve improved outcomes and patient satisfaction; implementing and maintaining standards of practice; resource allocation including HR and finance; performance development, hiring, supervising and evaluating staff; change management approach to all work; support colleagues on initiatives that require site and/or portfolio-wide coordination.

Required Qualifications:
Baccalaureate Degree in a health professions field. Current registration and membership in good standing with a professional college. Five years management experience; clinical and supervisory experience.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Competent in leading self, engaging others, achieving results, building relationships and championing system change.

Preferred Qualifications:
Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. A Master’s degree is preferred as is experience in a healthcare environment.
