The Quality Assurance Analyst (QA) is responsible for applying the principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout our software development life cycle. The QA will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful hands on testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.

Strategy and planning
Hands on experience to build automation frameworks from ground up and enhance existing test automation framework to extend capabilities for the project
Creating, executing, debugging and maintaining automation and manual test scripts
Hands on experience on development, establishment, and enforcement of quality assurance measures and testing for new applications, upgrades and configuration changes to existing applications.
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases
Work with the QA lead and development teams to design, implement and execute an effective automation test strategy
Performing functional, regression, integration, smoke and performance testing
Ensure that software quality measures comply with regulatory standards, industry standards, and accepted best practices.
Create methodologies and processes for the collection and analysis of data for ensuring applications quality.
Understand change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.
Acquisition and deployment
Determine the selection and appropriate usage of automated test tools and data collection tools.
Other duties that may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of this position.
College diploma or university degree in software engineering, computer science or related fields.
Certifications in a Quality Assurance program is preferred
Minimum 5 years hands on experience in automation design, development, and implementation of quality assurance standards for software testing.
Strong hands on development and scripting background (Java, VB, Python, Java Script, HTML,CSS,SQL etc)
Strong knowledge of system testing metrics, best practices and methodologies.
Experience testing in legal specific applications like iManage, Intapp Time, Elite, IPRO, Nuance PDF, Workshare Pro considered an asset.
Hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools like SmartBear and reporting software.
Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with statistical reporting and analysis.
Experience in a law firm or other professional service environment considered an asset.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Keen attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
