The opportunity:
We’re looking for a Director, Client Acquisition & Engagement to join our Online Brokerage & Digital Wealth team.

Reporting to the VP of Product/Platform Strategy and Client Engagement, the Director, Client Acquisition & Engagement focuses on growing our world class Online & Digital Wealth products by building the B2B and B2C strategy. The Director will be accountable for revenue growth for Digital Wealth business through the creation of acquisition and engagement strategies to grow the customer base profitably across all our channels. To think boldly on how best to attract new and retain customers to the platform of the award-winning Qtrade Investor and VirtualWealth so as to give Canadians flexible choices for building their wealth.

What your day looks like:
Drives Client Acquisition & Engagement

In partnership with the VP, develops and leads client acquisition and engagement strategies for Online Brokerage & Digital Wealth
Conceives and executes client journeys for client acquisition and engagement strategies throughout each stage of client lifecycle
Works closely with Sales team and Marketing to develop acquisition plans for B2B and B2C plans. Fosters innovative thinking in conceiving new distribution channels and partnerships to grow client base
Builds growth strategy for Digital Wealth
Conceives attractive consumer incentive offers and financial forecasting to build revenue
Leads marketing efforts to develop client journeys and content for engagement strategies tailored to client segments
Identifies opportunities with key partners to build engagement plans to drive growth
Partners with marketing to develop marketing activity plans for platform enhancements
Collaborates with Director Product/Platform strategy to build client engagement plans for platform enhancements to increase usage
Leverages market knowledge and research, and data analytics to capture insights that will shape the client acquisition and engagement strategy
Partner with marketing to create clear content that speaks to our clients and partners and offers educational materials for our platform (key messages to the right audience via the right channel)
Works with analytics team to identify opportunities with partners and clients and leverages insights to formulate recommendations
Supports Sales team by ensuring team is equipped with right materials and tools to effectively deliver sales results
Defines and builds client experience and life cycle expectations including a best-in-class consumer education curriculum as well as compelling data driven acquisition/engagement and loyalty programs
Identifies and develops KPIs and related reporting/dashboards to measure success
Achieves key performance objects, including client growth, engagement and retention


Your experience and skills:
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA strongly preferred ‒ Canadian Securities Course and additional industry certifications preferred
10 years of direct experience leading product marketing or client engagement/client acquisition teams in the online investment business, with responsibility for asset and revenue growth.
Experience with digital wealth products, including self directed trading and/or digital advice considered a strong asset
Effective communication skills, ability to influence without authority and the ability to partner across the organization.
Strong leadership skills and effective mentoring to help the lead the team, motive them and offer challenges
Excellent analytical skills including; business case development, ROI, territory analysis, competitive landscape analysis, and go to market strategy
Experience creating value added products, pricing, loyalty and lead generation programs
Proven experience delivering process improvement and efficiency
Experienced at working with retail investors and distribution partners
Demonstrated ability to understand competitive dynamics, identify business opportunities and develop market strategies; direct experience developing and refining product roadmaps with a proven track record of successful implementation
Strong analytical skills and proven ability to turn insights into actionable plans
Ability to conduct financial analysis, forecasting and create compelling and thorough business cases
Worked in agile environment with technology teams
Critical thinking skills are a must to uncover opportunities and go beyond the surface of issues
