IT Field Technicians

IT Field Technicians provide on location support for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance of technology in stores and satellite offices. They are primarily focused on supporting the robotic equipment of the pharmacies but also capable of carrying out tasks with the assistance of their IT peers on network, server and other IT equipment as needed.

This role may be based out of either Kamloops, Kelowna or the Lower Mainland, depending on the location of the successful candidate.

Duties include:
Provide service and customer support during field visits.
Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.
Track the inventory of spare parts in an asset management system and coordinate with IT Admin for replacements.
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
Create, respond to, and update service calls in IT’s service management system.
Operate vehicle in a safe manner while traveling to and from job locations.
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.

Technical degree or certification in information technology.
A good understanding of Microsoft technologies and software, familiarity with IT systems such as servers, networking, and client computers.
Familiarity with Pharmacy systems and robotics such as ScriptPro, Parata Max, Synmed, Automed, etc. is an asset.
Proven field service experience in a previous role.
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.

Employees must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday, Early Morning to Late Afternoon shifts. Employees will also have the responsibility of carrying a cell phone to be on call to help out stores over the phone and/or head to the store to repair their machine if it is offline. This is required at all times the stores are open (8am to 10pm) and would be on a rotating schedule as needed.
